FAQ

  • HOME | LAND is an exhibition of artworks for sale in Miami on November 14-17 to support Israeli artists. All proceeds go to the artists.

  • HOME | LAND was founded and curated by Michelle Azout, a Miami art advisor with 20 years of experience in the art world. HOME | LAND has many fantastic partners, including the Consulate General of Israel in Miami and Tikkun Now. The show is also supported by many organizations who are sponsors.

  • The founder and curator of the exhibition, Michelle Azout, felt a strong need to provide a platform for artists from Israel to show and sell their work amidst rising antizionism and antisemitsm.

  • The word מולדת roughly translates into the word homeland but it actually means birthplace; Israel is the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people; where the nation was born. Within the title HOME | LAND are nods to the home of the Jewish people and also the multifaceted terrain filled with arid desert, rolling mountains, lush valleys, and of course, the sea.

Art is a powerful and ubiquitous medium, so even the name of the show - HOME | LAND - is a means of driving dialogue, educating the public, and promoting activism.

  • There are 3 goals for the show: to support artists from Israel financially and provide a boost of morale amidst a wartime economy; to bring a piece of Israel into homes abroad, where people can be proud to live with them; to combat a rise of antizionism and antisemitism.

  • The concept of the show was born from artists that Michelle Azout had worked with in the past and that connected to the theme of landscapes of Israel. The idea was to showcase works of art that portray the land through a range of artists and media.

  • No, the checklist and show is closed but we hope to explore other opportunities to work with Israeli artists in the future.
